En la tabla 1, se señala los valores promedio
de los indicadores de composición corporal,
clasicado por sexo, en donde se observa una
masa muscular mayor en hombres con respecto
a mujeres v.g. 28.91 ±3.86 frente a 20.30±2.90
respecvamente, con diferencia signicava
(p=0.026). Así mismo el porcentaje de grasa
corporal en mujeres se encuentra en un promedio
de 32.4%±6.14, debiendo estar en un rango de 18
a 28%; y en varones el promedio correspondió
a 22.1±7.23 cuando su rango normal debió ser
de 10-20%. El índice de masa corporal presenta
un valor promedio total (23 Kg/m2) cerca al
límite superior aceptado por la OMS (25 Kg/m2),
habiendo estudiantes con un valor máximo de
31.2, es decir con obesidad, y un valor mínimo
de 16,5 que correspondería a desnutrición, sin
diferencia signicava por sexo. La masa celular
corporal ene una media de 26.81±5.34, con
valores más altos en hombres, y con diferencia
signicava por sexo (p=0.029). La grasa visceral
presenta un promedio total de 84.08 con una
desviación estándar bastante alta (±38.16) tanto
para hombres como para mujeres. Con respecto
al agua total, y agua intracelular presentan valores
promedio de 128.8 y 80.4 respecvamente sin
diferencia signicava por sexo (p>0.05), excepto
en agua extracelular con un valor promedio de
48.34 que si presenta diferencia estadísca entre
el grupo de hombres y mujeres (p=0.022). La
prueba aplicada para tal efecto fue Ji-cuadrado,
considerando la variable cualitava género.
En la tabla 2 se presenta la frecuencia (n) y los
porcentajes de frecuencia (%) de estudiantes con
respecto a indicadores de composición corporal,
clasicados por sexo, y por niveles de grasa
visceral v.g. alto y normal.
La tabla señala que, en el indicador masa
muscular esqueléca (MME), existe diferencia
estadísca por sexo, habiendo un 48.1% del total
que ene una MME bajo. Si se compara la MME
con la GV solo el 29.2% de sujetos presentan
valores normales, así mismo se puede observar
también en la tabla, que estudiantes con MME
alta presentan menor GV, [sensibilidad 33%,
especicidad 65%].
El porcentaje de grasa corporal total (PGC) en
mujeres fue del 56.6%, mostrando una diferencia
signicava (P=0.05) al comparar con hombres;
y por GV (p=0.00), donde las mujeres presentan
una diferencia signicava de (p=0.042), en
este úlmo caso la probabilidad de que los dos
parámetros se encuentren altos es del 34.0% de
casos [sensibilidad 49%, especicidad 97%].
En el IMC se encontró un 20.7% de estudiantes con
sobrepeso y obesidad, y un 3.7% con bajo peso y
desnutrición, no hay diferencia signicava entre
hombres y mujeres, pero si cuando se compara el
IMC con respecto al porcentaje de grasa visceral,
en cuyo caso la probabilidad de estudiantes con
sobrepeso y obesidad que presentar un alto
porcentaje de grasa visceral corresponde a 17.9%,
sin embargo hay un 2.8% de estudiantes que
presentan un % de GV normal, y a pesar de ello
presentan sobrepeso, o un 3.7% con GV normal
que se encuentra en el rango de bajo peso y
desnutrido, [sensibilidad 73%, especicidad 77%].
Con respecto al agua corporal total el 62.3%
se encuentra dentro de lo que se considera
como normal, con diferencia signicava por
género (p=0.003). Así mismo el 57.5% y 50.9%
de estudiantes, presentan valores normales en
agua intra y extracelular respecvamente con
diferencias signicavas para cada sexo (p=0.033,
y p=0.004).
Al hacer una prueba de correlación de Pearson
entre grasa visceral e indicadores de composición
corporal, se observa relaciones directas posivas
con MGC, IMC, PGC, si bien no se correlaciona
con MMEs sin embargo se observa una ligera
tendencia negava entre estas dos variables
(Figura 1)
La composición corporal es un aspecto importante
de la valoración del estado nutricional porque
permite cuancar las reservas corporales del
organismo, detecta problemas nutricionales
como obesidad o desnutrición, varios estudios
han demostrado la presencia de factores de
riesgo cardiovascular en niños, adolescentes y
adultos jóvenes, considerando que es la época en
la que se fundamentan los patrones dietécos y
el eslo de vida; dichos factores de riesgo enden
a persisr en la edad adulta, contribuyendo a
la enfermedad coronaria en grupos de edad
cada vez más jóvenes; la bioimpedancia es
una herramienta úl y de fácil manejo para
detectar malnutrición a través de cambios
en la composición corporal, es un método de
bajo costo y de manera rápida permite tener
resultados sobre los comparmientos corporales
como agua corporal total, grasa corporal, masa
