Application of ict to lessen the teaching digital gap in higher education institutions

Abstract
This research evaluated the application of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the teaching practice of the National University of Chimborazo (UNACH), based on the parameters of availability, frequency of use and mode of use, with the Purpose of proposing an alternative solution that contributes to the reduction of the digital divide. Analytical and inductive methods were used, with a type of exploratory, descriptive and applied research. It began by identifying the computer tools available in the institution: Moodle, Blogger and OneDrive, then a preliminary survey was applied to the teachers of the faculty of Engineering, thus establishing the factors that caused the use Inadequate ICT tools in teaching practice. The solution was developed and implemented a training plan in the integrated management of ICT, using the methodology of online work PACIE (presence, scope, training, interaction and E-learning), where it was obtained as a result improvements in availability, Frequency and mode of use of ICTs, to contribute in this way to the reduction of the digital divides.
