Impact of environmental pollution on the sustainable development of lima metropolitana (2015 - 2020)
Abstract
Resume the purpose of this original article is to determine the impact of environmental pollution produced by the vehicle fleet, the use and distribution of water, and the collection and treatment of solid waste in the sustainable development of Metropolitan Lima. The research is descriptive, we triangulate the qualitative and quantitative method. The sampling is intentional non-probability. The instruments used are in-depth interviews and discussion groups; the survey of 120 people located in the vulnerable areas of the districts of Lima, Caraballo and Villa el Salvador de Lima Metropolitan. The results indicate the relationship between the high rate of environmental pollution caused primarily by the vehicle fleet, followed by the use and distribution of water and solid waste that limit sustainable development in Metropolitan Lima, because they compromise health, quality of life and the right of Lima people to a healthy life and well-being. For these reasons, it is concluded that the State must intervene to solve the problems generated by the three polluting factors explained and thus comply with the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
