Qualitative and quantitative analysis of the profitability and production processes of the company Corp Icecream
Abstract
Within the study carried out, the ice cream manufacturing processes of the Salcedo Production and Marketing company “Corpicecream S.A.” are detailed, as well as observations related to the development of production and profitability. Using a quantitative and qualitative analysis approach, the research was carried out through surveys directed at administrative and production personnel, collecting primary economic and financial information, including balance sheets and income statements, which revealed the economic and financial situation of the company processes. With the information obtained, bottlenecks and downtime in the ice cream production processes were identified. Subsequently, the company's performance was quantified to evaluate its growth. Finally, processes were restructured to eliminate bottlenecks and increase company performance. An upward trend in production was evident, followed by a drop due to a problem in dosing, which resulted in a decrease in sales volume and, therefore, a decrease. Additionally, a problem was identified in the cooking process that revealed the existence of downtime. In conclusion, it was determined that the performance of the company Corpicecream S.A. It is influenced by the efficiency of its procedures and processes for producing the final product.
