Augmented reality as an educational resource in a pandemic at the Carchi State Polytechnic University
Abstract
Augmented reality as an educational resource in pandemic at the Carchi State Polytechnic University is an original article. Whose objective is to compare the academic performance of the students of the Computing career in Computer Architecture using traditional educational resources vs. active educational resources. The research is cross-sectional, correlational, explanatory, quantitative approach, quasi-experimental design. In this sense, four groups of students of the Computer Architecture subject of the Computer Science career of the Carchi Polytechnic University were compared. Thus, two groups of students work with traditional educational resources, and two work with active educational resources (augmented reality). As a result, there is a significant difference between the groups that learn with traditional educational resources vs. those that learn with active educational resources. It is concluded that by using augmented reality as an educational resource in the teaching-learning process, computer architecture improves the average academic performance compared to the teaching-learning process with traditional educational resources.
